Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of Marketel's booking engine, Front Desk mobile app, and related software ("the Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these terms.

1. The Service

Marketel provides a direct booking engine and front desk management tool for independent accommodation properties. We host your booking page, process guest reservations, and provide management tools accessible through your authorized account. The iOS app is a companion for active Marketel property accounts and does not include purchase or billing-management features.

2. Subscription & Billing

• The Service costs $199 per month, billed monthly via Stripe.
• Your first subscription payment is covered by a 7-day money-back guarantee. To request it, email [email protected] within 7 calendar days of your initial purchase.
• You can cancel from Marketel's web billing settings or by contacting support.
• Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period.
• After the 7-day guarantee period, subscription payments and partial months are non-refundable.
• We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days notice.

3. Your Responsibilities

• You are responsible for the accuracy of your property information, room or unit details, rates, and availability.
• You are responsible for fulfilling reservations made through your booking engine.
• You must keep your Front Desk PIN secure.
• You must not use the Service for illegal purposes.

4. Guest Payments

Guest card verification uses a temporary $1 authorization hold processed by Stripe. It is not payment for the stay. Unless a disclosed no-show policy permits the $1 to be captured, the authorization is released or allowed to expire. You collect payment for the stay directly from guests at check-in.

5. Availability & Uptime

We aim for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee it. We are not liable for lost bookings due to downtime, technical issues, or third-party service failures (Stripe, hosting providers, etc.).

6. Content & Data

• You retain ownership of your property content (photos, descriptions, rates).
• You grant us a license to display this content on your booking engine.
• Guest data (names, emails, phone numbers) is shared with you for reservation fulfillment.
• We may use anonymized, aggregated data for analytics and product improvement.

7. Termination

We may terminate your account if you violate these terms, engage in fraudulent activity, or fail to pay. A property owner may request account deletion from the iOS app or through support. In-app deletion requests have a 7-day grace period before operational account data is deleted; the request can be canceled during that period. We may retain limited records where required by law or necessary to resolve disputes and prevent fraud.

8. Notifications

Front Desk notifications help you respond to bookings and availability issues, but delivery is not guaranteed. Device settings, connectivity, Apple Push Notification service, or other circumstances may delay or prevent an alert. You remain responsible for maintaining accurate availability and fulfilling accepted reservations.

9. Limitation of Liability

Marketel is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 3 months preceding the claim.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms. We'll notify you via email for material changes. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
